Dynamite's LOOKING FOR GROUP #6 - Variant cover

October will see the release of a variant cover I did for Dynamite comic's 'Looking for Group' written by my former Gutters' writer and all around good dude, Ryan Sohmer.

The alternate covers in the series are based on famous paintings, amd I was tasked with Salvador Dali's Persistence of Memory.

Cover: Gibson Quarter
Writer: Ryan Sohmer
Art: Lar deSouza, Hawk, Ryan Dunlavey, Ed Ryzowski

After the events of last issue, Cale is excited to begin building something instead of destroying. An old friend joins the team as a new quest presents itself, but where is Richard? It’s the Trial of The Century as Richard must answer for his past and free himself from the ever-deadly “Plane of Suck!”

Look for it in a few weeks!

Frogman #3 a GO!

Today The Frogman #3 kickstarter hit 100% of its goal, so we are all funded up for the launch of the issue later this fall.

This was the first Kickstarter I've ever been a part of, and its been a great learning experience. The guys at DEAD CANARY COMICS really know how to make it work, and I'm glad they were so shameless in plugging it via videos, social media and comic cons.

Here's a 2 page spread of Frogman fighting some demons in hell to celebrate! ;-)

Frogman #3 Kickstarter, with original art!

Frogman #3 is a 32 page comic from the U.K. which will be out this fall from the fine folks at Dead Canary comics.

I'm pencilling/inking and greyscalling the whole book. This is the first Kickstarter I've ever been a part of... Please have a look and show it some love!

Since its a U.K. book, kickstarter funding will determine how widespread the distribution gets. So have click and check out the video for all the details.

During the kickstarter campaign, there are 4 pages of my original art from the book up for grabs as an incentive stretch goal! If you are interested in  my original art, here is your chance to pick some up.

If you have social media and feel like helping, please RT/share etc to help get the word out. It will cause good karma to follow you everywhere! ;-)

Captain Canuck Pin Up and Print - 'Double Double'

As a proud Canadian, I'm thrilled that CAPTAIN CANUCK has been loving updated and is relaunching with issue #1 this week.

Art for this issue is provided by RAID studio mate Kalman Andrasofszky , and looks gorgeous. I've been lucky too see this one come together behind the scenes and you'll want to pick it up if you love great comics!

The idea for this print came about at Calgary Expo, where is was discussed with the Canuck crew (over dinner and many drinks) that it might be a blast to base a pin-up on my most popular piece of art - but to 'Canadian-ize' it with the good Captain and of course, Tim Hortons.

The villains pictured are from an upcoming  issue drawn by Scott Hepburn and I'm told that this will be a pin up in that comic. (issue #5 I believe)  Hope you like the result!

**Note: this print will be available at the Niagara Falls Comic Con next weekend. I'll be in artist alley spot a-62 !
